NAO是一個(gè)57厘米高的可編程仿人機(jī)器人。NAO is a 57cm tall programmable humanoid robot.

其關(guān)鍵組件如下：Key components are as follows: 

擁有25個(gè)自由度（DOF）的身體，其關(guān)鍵部件為電機(jī)與致動(dòng)器。With a body of 25 degrees of freedom (DOF), the key components are the motor and actuator. 
一系列傳感器：2個(gè)攝像頭、4個(gè)麥克風(fēng)、1個(gè)超聲波距離傳感器、2個(gè)紅外線發(fā)射器和接收器、1個(gè)慣性板、9個(gè)觸覺傳感器及8個(gè)壓力傳感器。Series of sensors: 2 cameras, 4 microphones, 1 ultrasonic distance sensor, 2 infrared transmitters and receivers, 1 inertial plate, 9 tactile sensors and 8 pressure sensors.

用于自我表達(dá)的器件：語音合成器、LED燈及2個(gè)高品質(zhì)揚(yáng)聲器。Devices for self expression: voice synthesizer, LED light and 2 high quality speakers. 
一個(gè)CPU（位于機(jī)器人頭部），運(yùn)行一個(gè)Linux內(nèi)核，并支持ALDEBARAN公司自行研制的專有中間件（NAOqi）。A CPU (located at the head of the robot) runs a Linux kernel and supports Aldebaran's proprietary middleware (NAOQI). 
第二個(gè)CPU（位于機(jī)器人軀干內(nèi)）。The second CPU (located in the body of the robot). 
一個(gè)55瓦時(shí)電池， 根據(jù)使用方式的不同，可為NAO提供1.5小時(shí)、甚至更長(zhǎng)的自主時(shí)間。A 55-watt-hour battery, depending on how it is used, can provide NAO with 1.5 hours or more of autonomy.
